We are looking for players and ideas
Okay so here is the idea. Assemble a team from the board members to get together and play in a weekend tournament, hopefully for charity. There is no sponsor involved unless one of you is filthy, stinking rich and wants to pay for the whole thing. In which case you play and hit where you want...lol.
Now I know times are tough and money is tight so we were thinking of planning this for either later this year or next year. That way you could put a little away each week. Now first thing we need to do is find out who would be interested. Please include the positions you play. I know we are going to end up with about 5 C/EH's but let's get some of the other positions covered. Then we need to pick a viable time and place. The place can either be the most centrally located for the most players or somewhere we all want to go.
This is open to all board members. We would really like to put a face to the postings. I am hoping that we can set this up to get in early friday, hit and get together for dinner. Play on Saturday and get out Sunday if it is a one day or Monday if it is a two day.

I am always game to play for a good cause and can pretty much play anywhere on the field when need be. I don't know what exactly you are looking for location wise but I know Burlington, NC holds a Toys for Tots turny at the end of the year, I want to say Nov. sometime, I will check the NSACarolinas website for sure on what weekend. I know there is useually a decent amout of teams and competition and it goes to a great cause with each player donating a toy of at least $10 value along with the turny fee. We raised a good deal of money and toys last year and it turned out to be a great time as well. I know if you are planning something later in the year it would give yo a slightlywarmer place to play but not sure where people are traveling from or price range of travel guys would look for

Let's do it!! I'm in for sure. Let me know where and when. We have to do it!! As much as we talk it would be almost a tragedy if we did not meet face-to-face. LOL, but not really LOL.

Every so often we should do something like a head count and may be pm a core group to give the idea more focus and direction. Who's gonna take the lead. Star, D-#5 sounds like you guys may have more access thus far. I'm not trying to step on toes; please no offense intended. What do you think? May be the information in this post has already been discussed. excuse me if that's the case.

You are not stepping on any toes. Those are good ideas. I am trying to keep it going and as we get a better idea of who is interested I will tighten it up. DH has provided us with a possible local and the timing may be the best short of going next year. Roundin had provided a tourney in June but that may be too early for some.
