I never understood this. A bat waggle is just a trigger mechanism and with the pitch coming in underhand should not be a problem. The wrap would be more of a concern for me. A good batter will not set off the trigger until the ball they see the ball in the air regardless of how many pumps there are. It is a good way of staying relaxed while the pitcher goes through all of their gyrations. Mine is walking the box. And even if I start to step on a pump fake I just start moving the front foot forward. The back foot rarely starts moving until the ball is in the air. It helps me get into my hitting position. Just my .02 and you won't know until you face a good Utrip pitcher to see how you react.

Bro you have really quick hands. I think that makes up for some of the things Star saw. You can't go wrong taking his suggestions though, DA's too. What ever you do keep them quick hands..

It's a rhythm and feel thing. There's no good reason why it should affect a batter on an underhand pitch but it does, at least for me. The swing is a chain reaction of events and the bat being out of place when you fire can throw a batter off just enough where they are slightly out of sync and not making the best contact possible.

I agree with you. Like I said he will find out when he faces a good pitcher. A lot of the major guys have a moving bat in their set up and they are capable of hitting. I give you credit for discovering that flaw in your swing and working to correct it.

He is right. Really quick hands, which allows you to wrap them so much. If you start getting that front foot down a little sooner you may find yourself hitting more foul balls. I think though you may start hitting the ball further and harder.
Take in all of the critique you get here, sort through it and take what makes sense to you. You may find that some or all of it sucks for you. Look at Furyk's golf swing. It sucks but it works.

having quick hands is a plus, and once you get the swing down it's like a fluid motion to the ball......

Allows you to sit back on the ball. And puts you in good position to drive the ball hard.

Only good things can happen if you do that.
