Thanks makes it easier that way. I love the ping too, they have some old bats laying around there so I figure I might as well use them then smash up my own

A couple of things I see. Looks like you could get your front foot down a little sooner. You seem to be still striding as you swing so your hips open late. Watch the video DaMerts put up on the hips driving the swing. Think of it as a slap shot. You need to hit against that front leg a little more and I think you will see some harder shots and more consistency on the hitting.
Your girlfriends swing was mostly off of the lower part of the barrel. She was not hitting many off of the sweet spot. She also needs to finish her swing. The swing is athletic getting to the zone. It is nice and fluid but gets tight after she hits it. Let it go and will see an improvement on distance. Work on getting the sweet spot more. Going back to a previous conversation we had, throw the barrel of the bat through the ball. She looks like she is trying to guide the bat onto the ball.
Hopefully others can contribute to this. I could be wrong on your swing but I know I have the same problem. In trying to drive the ball farther I take too big of a stride and fire the hips too late. I make good contact a lot but the ball doesn't go anywhere. When I shorten the stride and fire the hips first, then drag the bat through the zone I hit the ball harder and the contact is more consistent.

Thanks for the tips, I will try to work on striding a bit quicker or maby a bit shorter whatever feels more comfortable. As for Danielle I try to get her to let go with her top hand, for some reason she wont. The place I hit at is heated but its still cold, if you dont hit the ball off the good part it hurts your hands hahahah. One thing with the machine that is used there, the pitches are too fast and flat, its like a strike zone fast ball. I would rather a little more hump on them

She doesn't have to leg go, although I do, but watch her swing. Her rotation stops very short. The only way to really do that is to start deaccelerating to soon. This will sap some of her power. Also missing the head of the bat will also. Her swing is pretty food other wise. Be careful talking smack to her though when she has a bat in her hand.

being your way up north you'll have time to practice and get better before your season starts.
that's one thing about metal, you better hit the sweet spot or you pay the price...lol
