If you have someone that can help you ball pick ups are great. You need 2 softballs and a little open room. Have the person kneel in front of you about 10 to 15 ft and roll one ball to the left or right of you to start. Shuffle sideways to the ball ( the should try to keep the ball within 2 to 3 shuffles to each side of you), as you feild the ball they the roll the other one the same distance to the opposite direction. As you field each ball flip them back to the person rolling them. Continue the drill anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute and then rest. The key to this drill is to stay in a feilding position bending and the knees and sinking the hips the entier time. Dont bend over at the waist or cross your feet and cheat. Try to catch each ball in the center of your body. Also remembering to keep your hands out in front of the body and your head over your hands. The addition of the toss back is really benificial to middle infielders. Expect sore and jello legs if you do 3+ sets of these with short rests between sets

I can actually do this by myself. Just flip the ball off of the wall so that I have to go side to side. Now I just need to get a ball and find a wall to do it off of.
