Default Practice Ball

Hey fellow softball players, I'm seeking some feedback on practice balls. The tourney we are playing in will be using the Trump 44 core 375 compression. So what I did for prep'n for this tourney was use Zn Thunder 40 core 325 compression thinking it would actually benefit us. Well after hitting these balls I actually think the Zn's are better than the trumps we will be using. Let me know what you guys think.

I think the heavier the core and the harder the compression the longer the bomb. I could be wrong but that seems to be the way it works for me.

I dont think the zn is any better a ball than the trumps. Have hit both and the trumps we had were pretty solid balls. Should actually be pretty comparable.

I like to use the crappiest, softest balls you can find for BP. Work on your swing, build your power, and work on your swing some more.

When you get consistent at hitting the junk a ton...just think how you will hit a GOOD ball.

Too many people use good ball for BP, see what they do hitting the rocks in BP and develop an ego. (usually OVER developed too) Then when they get in a game or tourney and don't do so hot they blame it on the ball being used.

and NOBODY wants to listen to that garbage

Roundin4 that's the exact thing that happened to our team the last time we played. That was one of the reasons I left the game for over a year. I couldn't believe my team would use an excuse like the ball made us play so poorly when all they really had to do was think about how many times I arranged practice and hardly anyone showed up. Great post Roundin4!!!!

just about any M-Class ball turns to junk after a few games....i save all the used game balls and put them in the BP bag....

too many people get hung up on how far the ball goes instead of where it goes and how it gets there. practice hitting the holes with line drives and hard ground balls and it will not matter what ball they use.
