walks
i for the most part do not walk! I think softball is a hitting game. If the picture is really bad i will not swing. But for me they all look like good pitches. If it is inside i drive it, if it is outside right field. I do agree that if you are in a close game then a walk is as good as a hit. as long as the the guy behind you can swing. But i hate walking, and i probably have taken 20 walks my whole life!

1 pop up
1 intentional walk
1 tripple oppo on the warning track
Average .636 and on base percentage .727
A walk is better than an out ,but the pitcher I have known for a while he walk me the first time intentional. Then i think somebody on his team said something about it and the next time on when i was on third he turned and told that guy i told you so. We had a slow start ,but put up 16 runs before making a few baseruning errors in the bottom of the 7th along with a bad call at second with the tieing run at the plate and followed by the heart of the order up next. Final 16-18 with us being a second year team.

This year I am playing Monday through Thursday and tournamnets. With that said I have had a not so hot start but I'm coming around now. My AVG dropped to .419 and I was starting to worry so I started growing the "Quest for .600" beard. Since then, I am now at .506 so I have lots of work to do but lots of time to do it.
BA= .506 (41 for 81 so far)
BB= 5
1B= 13
2B= 10
3B= 4
HR= 14

very good point....................

I would like it if i had someone to keep a team book so every one could see were they are at and see how much we improve each year. We are in our second year. Would also needed one from last year to compare. I am proud of my guys the been a lot more serious than i expected putting out around 80% effort compared to 30-40% last year.

the one reason our team keeps stats is to strive to improve, and the best part of our team is the ego's stay in the car......
